Simon Slater

Simon leads our team of acting CEOs and COOs. He has worked with the boards of successful professional service firms for over 20 years, either as general manager or trusted adviser.

After a lengthy spell with DTZ Group plc in the early 90s, Simon became the first COO of a UK law firm when he joined Charles Russell. Later, he played a key role in the development of Eversheds when he was a member of the management team that implemented the 7-way merger to create a single, national partnership. He was then asked by Taylor Wessing to help with post-merger integration.

Since 2004, Simon has worked as an advisor to a wide range of firms including Simmons & Simmons, Pinsent Masons, SNR Denton, Baker & McKenzie, Hogan Lovells, SJ Berwin, Osborne Clarke, Cripps Harries Hall, Boyes Turner, Kester Cunningham John (soon to be Ashton KCJ) and Pemberton Greenish, where he was acting CEO for eight months in 2010-11 and oversaw significant double-digit growth in profitability.
